Northern Aces Tennis Group

The aims of the Group as set out in the Constitution are to "To provide the means for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) persons to play tennis". We hope, however, that we do much more than that, and that people can come along to play and improve their tennis in a friendly, relaxed and sociable atmosphere.

The Group runs weekly tennis sessions at Sportcity, provides professional coaching and organises both internal and international tennis tournaments. Group members also frequently travel elsewhere in the UK, as well as overseas, to compete in International GLBT tournaments.

Open Athletics Manchester

Open athletics is an organisation for the promotion and development of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transexual (LGBT) athletics in the broadest sense - including track and field, fell and trail running, and race walking.

We aim to be a forum and a network of individual LGBT athletes, groups and clubs across the UK - in Aberdeen, Brighton, Lancaster, London, Manchester, Midlands, North Wales, West Yorkshire.

Manchester FrontRunners

Possibly Manchester's friendliest running club! Part of the International Frontrunners network and fully affiliated to England Athletics, Manchester Frontrunners was founded in 2005 to offer a sociable and friendly place for runners to train and meet other like-minded folk in a supportive environment. Whilst the majority of our members are from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community, we are absolutely open to everyone and encourage participation from, and aim to provide access for all.

Manchester Sharks Water Polo

Established in July 2007, the Manchester Sharks are the North of England's first Gay and Lesbian Polo club. The team has been around for some years now as a valued aspect to Northern Wave Swim Club. It was decided that the team would be better suited running separate to Northern Wave; creating the birth of one of Manchester's youngest gay sports clubs.

Throughout the years the team has grown from a few men. The team has now grown from several quads, creating a world wide reputation; hosting international tournaments. We are also fully committed to building a women's team.
